Data Services V3.2 / Data Cleanse Repo Load

Running DS V3.2 on Windows 32-bit - while attempting to load the dictionaries for data cleansing, I receive the following messages:

The error messages occur immediately, as soon as I select the repository type “Cleansing Package,” so it doesn’t have a chance to consider the repository. For the record, I’m using MYSQL as a cleansing repo. (see attachment)

I’m not quite sure why it’s looking for the “unzip” file. The setup.exe for DS Cleanse V3.2 runs successfully, and loads the various rules files into the …\DataQuality\datacleanse sub-dir. I’ve noticed the Cleanse set-up routine loads 13 PERSON_FIRM_*.ZIP files into the …\datacleanse sub-sir. Do these require unzipping? I don’t see any reference to them when I consult the Windows installation guide and DS reference guide. Are there additional set-up steps required prior to loading the directories?

Mark,

You’ll need to load these ZIP files into your repository using the Repository Manager. For that it requires unzip.exe which should be in your path.

If you don’t have it in your datacleanse folder, you can try to copy it from somewhere else into this location. Ideally this file should be laid down by the installer, so I would check after you have run the CP installer.
