Hello,
Is there any column available for sizing of Data Services
what are the different memory intensive operations and functions in data services
is sizing depend upon the volume of data and how?
thanks

What data content do you intend mapping to?

Hello,
Are these the only factors that affect the Pricing of Data Services ?
Number of CPUs that will make up Data Integration environment
2. CPU Bus (32-bit/64-bit) that is required for processing data
3. Operating System on which Data Integration environment will be hosted (Windows, Linux and Unix)
4. Options
- Connectivity
- Productivity
- Data Quality
- Scalability
5. Deployment environment
6. Packaging
Or you can suggest some more factors or is their any documentation or webinar available on GBN or SAP training…

I’d suggest contacting your local vendor
The only information I have on this is pretty outdated - around the time of the Crystal merge but prior to the SAP takeover …
When the Product is licensed on a Data Integrator Server Unit (“DISU”) basis, the Product may be loaded onto a single computer with up to four Processors.
If you desire to deploy a DISU license to access enterprise data sources such as packaged applications, mainframes, or technology infrastructure products (“Enterprise Data Sources”), you must obtain individual BusinessObjects Data Integrator Interface licenses.
BusinessObjects Data Integrator Interfaces. When licensing the BusinessObjects Data Integrator Interfaces, licenses for BusinessObjects Data Integrator Product must also be obtained.
An individual interface license must be acquired for each BusinessObjects Data Integrator Product license. If multiple instances of an Application, Technology, or Mainframe type are accessed by the BusinessObjects Data Integrator Interface, then one interface license must be acquired for each
instance. If multiple instances of a Database type are accessed by the BusinessObjects Data Integrator Interface, then only one interface license must be acquired for that Database type.
Unlike other Interfaces, Database interfaces are charged per database type and not per instance.

Hi,
Thanks i do not want to know about pricing Model. What i am intersted to know about sizing of Data Services
=============Data Services Server Sizing================
Thanks for the Information.
May i know about the minimum configuration(requirement) that SAP offers for Data Services?
How can i size ( no. of CPU’s, amount of RAM, Hard disk capacity)
my machine to get optimal performance.
How Sizing is depend (directly or indirectly) upon performance.
In short what are the critical points that can affect the performance.

Looking at all the other DI threads that you’re posting, I still think you need to speak to your vendor - note that licensing is related to intended use and scalability.
I.e you start with the basic requirements as per your version and OS e.g.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/10663bd3-bb3e-2b10-9e93-b8808fdd858d&overridelayout=true
… and then flesh out your environment according to your current and anticipated processing loads and this is where the vendor can help you determine the architecture
