Data Manager displays report data regarding run time statistics. Where is this data stored. i.e. table? This can provide base data for performance tracking.

Hi list,
In Data Manager’s Results tab, if I purge the data and save the report after refreshing, why do I still see the old data in Definition tab about date, time,# rows and duration?
Thanks & Regards,
jay

After purging the data…why don’t you delete the data provider??

The purge is just deleting the data. The definition tab holds the history as to when the data provider refreshed and how long it took.
I hope they never change this.

Jay,
I donot have a concrete answer for this, but I believe, when you purge, you purge the data retrieved by the query, for whatever reasons…
The data in the definition tab is statistics about the last query refresh and it has nothing to do with the data being purged. Even if the data is purged, by looking at the statistics, you can have an idea as to how many rows will the query return or how much time will it take…
Did that help…?

Steve,
Can’t this history be altogether deleted in any way?..I mean I just want the statistics of the current refresh to be present in the DEFINITION tab, say.
Right now, the only tedious option seems to be to create a new report…
And no, this is not my client’s requirement. This is a thing which just came to my mind.

I don’t think there is any way to remove the history. I’m surprised this is a big deal.
