Data Extraction from BW to DS

Hello Folks,

We recently bought BO Data services 4.0 and we want to leverage some of the DS Transformations to do some complex data cleansing features. Could you please clarify some of my questions -

We want to push delta changes from BW to DS on daily basis, Is this possible? Is the tool mature enough to handle delta loads?

When I started extracting data 0CUSTOMER Master data from BW (NW 7.0) to Data Services 4.0, from PSA table to Data Store my data load failed due to limitation on the total lenght of the characteristic (I have few attributes to 0CUSTOMER)
However, if I do the same with Open hub by selecting external system as Data Services I was able to load the data but only limited number of records.

Can someone shed some light on these data extractions from BW to Data Services. What is the best way of extracting data from BW to DS?

Hello Werner,

Sorry for delay in my response, When we are loading data from BW PSA table (let’s say 0CUSTOMER) to Datastore in DS, since we have many attributes for 0CUSTOMER we are hitting more than 512 characteristics and our loads are failing.

Regarding delta, do you have any documentation how to do delta loads from BW 7.1 to Data Services 4.0.
