Dashboard Bex Connectivity in 4.0

Hi All,

Can you kindly give me an difference with respect to the Bex Connection to the Dashboard. Which connectivity method is good to use on what scenario.

1. Bex -> IDT -> Webi(WSDL) -> Dashboard(QaaWs)
2. Bex -> Dashboard(BICS - SAP Netweaver BW connection) - Direct connection from Bex to Dashboard.

1. if you are connecting to BEx…no need of IDT
   It will be Bex -> Webi(WSDL) -> Dashboard(QaaWs)
   Best used when you have conditions, structures, smart measures, restrictions in BEx

2. Best used when not much data manipulation.
