DAS Problem

Hi All,

When I schedule a report to be refreshed & sent to users thru’ DAS, the moment the schedule starts, the DAS console hangs, thereby, not allowing login to other modules of BO also, returning a “cannot connect to security domain” error !
When I kill the DAS application which is hanging, then I can login to other modules. On DAS restart, the log for the report would have failed with error " Cannot complete Job Execution"

Any inputs on the above will be extremely helpful

The error message appears because DAS was shut whilst a report was
running,
hence, it could not complete the job it was executing at that particular time.

In terms of the ‘cannot connect to the security domain’ - you may first want to check if you can successfully log in to the user module, and run a query from the same machine with the same user id which is running the report in DAS. This will eliminate if it is a problem with that
particular
user, and if your machine is functioning correctly.

Sometimes if you crash out of DAS it can corrupt the objects.lsi file in c:\program files\businessobjects\locdata. There should be a file called objects.bak in this directory which can be copied and renamed to objects.lsi (delete the existing one first).

Just a few things for you to check.
