DAS in console mode

 Is anyone having trouble with DAS slipping into console mode for an
 extended period of time?  We are using 4.1.3 here with Informix.  We
 have a call in to Business Objects and are waiting for a response.

Is anyone having trouble with DAS slipping into console mode for an
extended period of time

Jodie,

I’ve had this happen with 4.1.1 DAS after the summertime change.
The DAS timestamp was corrupted for some reason (way in the past),
so any new DAS that came along promptly took over as primary,
forcing to original DAS to go into console mode.

I repaired it, but I did it partly in the database itself, so if you
want to try it you’re on your own. Anyway, here’s how I did it:

-I made sure no DAS (console mode or primary) was present.
-Then I deleted the timestamp record for DAS (in OBJ_X_TIMESTAMPS)
-Via the supervisor I ran a scan and repair , it detected the missing
record and recreated one.
-When I next brought up the DAS it stayed primary and has not
gone into console mode since then. The timestamps look OK too.
