Hi,

I am not able to refresh a Deski XIR2 report.
My ODBC connection is working fine to the Datasource from my PC. I was wondering about entitlement changes to the universe but from Webi it works fine. What could be the possible reasons?
The error message is Connection or SQL Sentence error: Datasource name not found and no default driver specified state:IM002

Did you try to verify the connection from universe in your local machine where the DeskI report is being run

Hi Haider,
I don’t have access to that universe but I checked with the universe designer and connection , entitlements are not changed
My QA works fine and this happens in the Prod environment. I can successfully ping to the Prod database from ODBC driver setup. I can run queries against the database but only Business objects can’t recognize the source. Any thing I can check on the Business Objects CMC / Server layer?

Question : Do I have to have the Prod universe in my local machine to refresh queries from the Deski?

You dont need to exclusively download the universe in order to refresh the DeskI report, it is downloaded on its own if there are recent changes in the universe or refreshes with existing copy in the PROD universe folder
But seeing the error which you gave in your first post, it looks like the ODBC DSN name in your local machine is not matching with the one in universe connection parameters
To find that, you have to either get the exact ODBC DSN name and match it with the one you have locally, or get universe access and open it to check yourselves

I had an typo error of ODBC DSN name for prod environment in my local machine. After correction I am able to refresh Prod Deski Queries.
