Currency Format

Hi there,

I’m in Australia, so my custom currency formats are generally in $ or the Euro sign (…no idea why). I need to change the format of a cell to the pound sign but as out keyboard doesn’t have this option, i’m not sure how to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Right Click on the cell containing the currency and choose Format Cell and in the Current Property delete $ and put £ there. To get £ you need to press Alt key and enter 156.

Here’s a work around I tried and it worked,

Open excel, type in some numbers and format it as UK Currency. Copy the cell to the clipboard.

In BO, select a column with numbers in it, click Format, Cell, Currency.

Click on one of the existing formats (with or without decimals) that you want your pounds to be like, then in the Properties, Positive section Paste the contents of the clipboard. Change the numbers you pasted to # symbols similar to other formats eg £#,##0.00. Click Add, then OK.
