Is Crystal Reports Server XI R2 compatible with reports developed with Crystal Reports 2008? My assumption is no (since the BOE XI R2 platform cannot store these documents), but I haven’t been able to find this documented anywhere. (and the CRS product guides are unavailable on the SAP support site)
Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

I can’t answer in the afirmative but surely they kept the same format type for the Crystal report?
I know that you need the correct content license to be able to retain and view Crystal reports but it would not make sense for them to introduce a content type that is incompatible with their new system direction.
I.e. compare the crystal report types to see if they are the same.

So I did a bit of installing to run a quick test. It seems publishing to CRS XI R2 directly from CR 2008 is indeed not possible - an error is thrown (you cannot logon to an older version of the CMS).
However it does seem that it’s possible to publish a CR 2008 report by adding the document within the CMC.
