Crystal Reports not opening in CR 2008

Hi All,

We recently migrated from 3.1 to 4.1 SP4. I have Crystal Reports 2008 installed and when i try to import the crystals in the CR 2008 to edit or design from 4.1, i get the following error: “The report could not be opened from BusinessObjects Enterprise. Possibly the report is on a different BusinessObjects Enterprise system that the one you are currently logged onto. If this problem persists, please contact your administrator.”

Any ideas? :?

Don`t you need Crystal 2013 for that?

Yes they do and they will need to make sure that the CR 2013 is at the same SP and FP level.

And your Crystal Reports is the same version number?

Sorry, i need to download Crystal 2013, How do i know which crystal version i need to download? Will it state the version in the same format ?

Yes it should. We do not have CR 2013 yet, but previous versions did. For our group, it is the self check to make sure we are on the right version (right now we are running CR 2011, SP 5 FP 7). The installation and upgrade process can get a bit laborious.
