Did a fresh install of Crystal Reports 9 on my Windows XP machine. Worked just fine before it was formatted. Anyway, it keeps giving me the following error:
“Crystal Reports: Application Error
Couldn’t load keycode.dll”
And now the program seems to have disappeared from existance, but that’s beyond the point - i tried the run - regsvr32 to register the .dll file but that doesn’t work (and it’s posted right on the BO website).
Anyone else have any suggestions?

since this is the top post on google and does not have an answer, I will add what I found on the web.
This happened to me just the other day after install Office 2000 Sp3, reinstalling CR fixed the problem.
Control Panel -> Add or Removce Programs -> Select Crystal Repprts -> Change -> Reinstall
or try this

To resolve this error message, complete these steps:
On the ‘Start’ menu, click ‘Run’.
Type the following in the ‘Open’ box:
Regsvr32 “c:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Shared\keycode.dll”
Click ‘OK’. A dialog box appears indicating you have successfully registered the DLL.
Click ‘OK’.

NOTE:
For Crystal Reports 9, keycode.dll is located in the c:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin folder.
For Crystal Reports 10, keycode.dll is located in the c:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin folder.

Good luck!
