Crystal Reports 2016 - Data source alias with "\"

Hi,
I am using CR 2016 and need to add ‘’ at the end of the aliases in my report. When I add get the following error.

I found another post which talks about the same issue but for CR 2013, and the suggestion provided there didn’t solve my problem.
