crystal reports 2008 very very slow

hi, i recently changed my pc and crystal reports 2008 service pack2 is very very slow. each time I click one formula the blu disc roll for seconds before i can see the code in the formula. the os is windows 7 64 bit and the pc has 4 gb ram.

can anyone help me. it is very hard wok this way

I heard that there are few issues in SP2, Upgrade it to SP3, you can download Crystal reports 2008 sp3 Full Build from SAP Market Place. It works great on Windows 7 64 bit…

sorry i wrote wrong. i alredy have sp3.
i’m trying to download the most recent patch cr2008fp35. let’ hope for the miracle.
i have reports with even a undred formulas and to swith from one the the other it’s a real problem.

with this installation i also have onather problem: the connection with the oracle client doesn’t work. it gives me the error 12154 but it’s all ok with the tnsnames, indeed i can use toad.
I have to meke crestal connect via jdbc.

no miracle. with the patch is still very slow.
when I open the report and start to work it is reasonbly fast but
becomes slowler and slowler as I continue to keep it open work with it.

Design time? Never had that issue. I would suspect a background process either taking memory or cpu cycles.

hi, i followed the advice in this forum http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/166597/0/ reinstalling crystal under onother directory and now both problems seems to have desapeard.

After installing Windows 7, Crystal 2008 was extremely slow on initial startup. None of the posted suggestions to correct this problem worked. Days later I saw that Apple Bonjour was loaded and removed it (Never trusted the program). Suddenly, the next time I use Crystal it starts up without any delay just like it did when I used XP.
