If nothing works and your only recourse is to re-install, I would do the following:

  • Uninstall everything Crystal Reports (which, by the way, CR 2008 SP1 is only to be used with BOE XI 3.1, and you really should not put a client application on the server)
  • Uninstall everything BOE XI 3.x
  • Clear registry of BO entries (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects)
  • Install BOE XI 3.0 (do not worry about upgrading to XI 3.1 at this time) and connect it to your existing CMS database (and make sure you clear the “Reset databases” box in the connection window)

Good luck!

hi lgonzalez
great thanx …
i put CR client on the server machine because the server is a demo witch have installed other bo product for marketing demo.

the bo sw installed is:

Data services xi 3.1
Xcelsius
bi widget xi 3.0
bi live office xi 3.0
bo process tracker xi 3.0
… and boe xi 3.0

what do you tell me to remove ??? only boe xi 3.0

I mentioned only BOE because I did not know what else you had on the server. But I still think you do not have to uninstall everything else - it may be sufficient to uninstall only BOE.
