Crystal Report in Infoview

Hi,

In my Crystal Report (BO XI), I have two SQL queries: one as a command object and another on the universe.

This report runs fine in Crystal Reporter but when tried to open in Infoview portal it gives the following error

“Crystal Report: Print Engine Error”

If anyone has faced the similar situation, please reply me back with possible solution.

Thanks in Advance.

Did you ever find an answer for this? I just ran into it in R2, with a report that works fine in R1.

Thanks.

Bump … any insight on this error?

Hello guys,

One line statements does not give the depth of the problems. Can you be more elaborate while putting in the problem. Like details of the steps taken prior to getting the errors. Complete enviroment details with versions, database details…etc.

May be you will get the response faster.

Cheers

We just upgraded to BOXI R2 tonight from version 10. We get this error on only one of our reports. The other couple hundred reports work perfectly.

It returns the error in infoview, and if you try to open the report in designer. Ironically enough, the report can be opened and ran with no problem at all from Crystal Reports 10 (designer).

Hi There,

I also have same problem with you. It might be something wrong with one of your formula…becareful with instr function, it might return -1 but no error showing in the report. If this happend, than you’ll see that you report will display no data at all.

Good luck,
Bonsay

Install Crystal Reports designer on the BOXI server (or the server running the CrystalReportServer service if your multi server). Does it run ok in that?

Also, what service pack are you on on XIR2?
