CrossTab to act like Pivot Table

Hi, I’m hoping someone here can help. I have a user who is trying to create a cross tab - basically have it work like a pivot table in excel.

I have 3 screen shots attached. The first is the data in a table format. The second is the data in the cross tab format. And the third is the data in an excel pivot table.

Basically the user wants the webi report’s cross tab to have the data displayed as the excel pivot table.

As you can see in the cross tab screen shot, the amounts are just repeated for each province - the pivot table screen shot shows how it should look.

Is there a way to get the cross tab to look like the pivot table?

try creating two input controls, one for province and the other on price effective data

How is your Unit Price calculated? Is it a formula or an Object? Dimension or Measure? If it’s a dimension, try changing to a measure.

The unit price is an object set as a dimension. We made it that way because it’s not aggregatable (sp?). But I’ll try making it a measure and setting the measure function to None.

I changed the unit price to be a measure and set the function to None. I re-created the report and it now looks the way they were hoping it would.
