Creating a Scorecard Dashboard report using a Webi

Hi,

My Client wants to create a Scorecard Dashboard report using a Webi and he wants to create a report very unique.

Can you please give me some input on this. I got some idea about creating dashboard like creating Pie Charts using some buttons (IMAGE.PNG file),support of Element link do some interactive mode report.

But he needs more feature to include this report

We are using WEB I 4.0 and SP 5.

Gauges are supported now with Webi 4.2 SP4 I believe, well not that it is a very effective visualization in the first place… :wink:

Rather than just thinking about the bells and whistles etc.

Have you got clear requirements as to what is to be shown on this dashboard?
I would suggest this is what you require in the first instance.

Finalising a requirement for a dashboard? Good luck with that!!

Ever heard of the “user doesnt know what he wants until he see`s it” quandary.

If you want some useful dashboarding tips, start with wireframing something first in terms of what they actually want. It will have you a lot of time in the future. You can wireframe in any software for basic layout (excel, xcelsius, gliffy etc).

I still believe you should finalise the data requirements though.

I should have provided more detail, there is of course great mileage in the wire framing approach.

Wireframing`s a design concept and methodology, nothing to do with BO.

You could do it on a piece of paper, or if you would have read the full thread I present some options :expressionless:
