Creating a Dynamic date filter in WEBI

I want to create a dynamic date filter in WEBI to pull everything before today. We work with a vendor controlled universe on this app, so adding it in as a filter to the universe is going to be challenging.

Are there any options in WEBI to help me create this dynamic filter?

I tried looking at variables and some other options with no luck.

We are on 3.1 SP 6. If this does not work in 3.1, does this functionality exist in 4.1??

as far i know there is no such option in report level, you have to create objects /predefined condtion in the report level

You can create a report filter to do this, but that’s really not what you want. You need a query filter for this, and no, there is no option in Webi to do this in the query. 4.1 doesn’t offer it, either. I’ve seen it suggested on the Idea Place. So, maybe it will come eventually.
