Create Enterprise Account with existing account

Hi,

I wonder what is the right way the create an enterprise account (BOXI3.1 SP5). We have already 280 AD users but some users will have to use an extra Enterprise account (enterprise authentication)

What I already did is open an existing Ad user, look at his properties and choose “New Alias”. The next screen tells me to fill in his new credentials (I have only created a new password for the user ; his username stayed the same. )

Finally we saved the settings and did a test.

  1. User can stil use his Ad account with SSO e.g. Infoview > works
  2. User now logs off from Infoview
  3. User can use his enterprise authentication for the LifeCycle Manager> is also working.
  4. Then the user logs off from LCM
  5. The he logs in again in LCM and then he got an error message> Enterprise Account is disabled> We look at his properties again in CMC and then the Enterprise Authentication type has now turned into disabled Enterprise Authentication Type = Enterprise is not selected anymore!!!

Why?

Anybody a clue?

while giving password you might have given change password at next logon please check that

We did not select that. So password never expires…

But still it did not help!

Hi,

Our issue is still open, all help is welcome.

Perhaps something to mention.
Our Authentication Method is NLTM. Perhaps this has something to do with it.

I know this was years ago - but we may be having a similar issue.

How did you solve the topic? Was it the authentication type?
