Create an user defined sections

Hello,

First time poster here, thank you for you help in advance!

I’m not an experienced BO user and maybe my problem is very simple but all my efforts to find an easy solution were unsuccessful.

I want to create a specific section to my report with different ranges like “0-30”, “31-90” and “91-150”. What I think I need is a list of values (“30”, “90”, “150”) which values I want to use for creating the section ranges. It looks like I can’t do that. I’m unable to create a new table and to link it as an object as I’m not allowed to change the universe itself.

Is there any chance to do that using sections in BO XI?

There really are multiple ways you can perform what you are attempting to do. A quick and easy way would be to create a variable. Identify the ranges you want (e.g. 0-30, 31-90, etc.) and create a section with the variable.

To create a variable, when you are in the Webi ‘edit report’ mode, you will see an icon titled variable editor. Click on this and you should be able create your variable with your specified ranges.
