I cannot find anyone else with this particular problem…
Creating a new report in CR2008 with a mysql datasource. Smart linking turned off (makes no difference). Select 2 or more tables in the (standard report creation) wizard and click next. Crystal crashes. Everytime.
Workaround? Add one table, save the report, add another (tiresome). Use CRXI, save it, open it in 2008 and continue working (also tiresome).
Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 (12.1.0.892)
MySQL ODBC Driver 3.51.27
Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone had the same problem?
Some more information:-
uninstalled ODBC connector 3.51.27 (the latest release) and re-installed 3.51.12. Now works fine again
uninstalled 3.51 altogether and tried 5.1.4 (the latest release). Same problem re-occurred.
what is the latest version of mysql odbc connector supported by CR2008? Where can you get this information (platforms.txt used to be shipped with the product - it is now hidden somewhere on the SAP site). Is this a mySQL bug or a Crystal Reports bug or both?
