Has anyone else been experiencing serious problems with CR 2008 and the BOXI 3.1 Client Tools installed on the same machine (Windows)?
I had been running 2 versions of CR (XI and 2008) side-by-side for over a year and then installed the 3.1 Client Tools. Everything seemed OK for about a week and then all of the sudden everything started failing. A collegue had the same problem and uninstalling 3.1 fixed it. I wasn’t so lucky. I ended up having to uninstall, registry clean and reinstall… multiple times. And I still can’t install Data Services, which is supposed to be totally independent.
I’m finding it kind of unsettling that 2 products from the same suite and general release can’t seem to play together.
Has anyone managed to have these components co-exist successfully? Any advice would be appreciated. Haven’t found any documentation or notes here or on the SAP site.
