I have run into a bit of an issue after a pretty simple and straight forward installation of CR 2008 server on Windows. Any new non-admin user I create using Crystal Management Console doesn’t have the Inbox icon on it’s respective homepage after logon.
For ex, I created a new ‘test’ user belonging to group ‘Everyone’. After I logon to CMC using ‘test’ I can’t see the Inbox icon for this user. Whereas, if I add this user to ‘Administrator’ group I can access the Inbox for this user.
Welcome to B:mrgreen:B, OracleDisciple! There’s probably something wrong with the your user rights. If I were you I’d go through the InfoView rights to see if they are set correctly for the Everyone group.
Hope all is well. Thx for your input. I verified the Inbox object rights for user group ‘Everyone’ and they are correctly enabled for viewing and other relevant tasks. But still no Inbox link in the InfoView navigation screen.
Is there any other way to test this out? Perhaps manually manipulating the CMC logon URL to specify explicit access to ‘test’ user inbox with something like:
