Could not import the universe; this object already

Hi,

We have the following problem with BO 4.1.4 (or BO 4.1.1) and Oracle 7.3.3:

We modified an existing universe (added/deleted different objects).
Everthing seems to be fine when we make the integrity-check. We also can
export the universe without any problems. But when we try to import the
universe we get the following error-message:

“Could not import the universe”
Import universe: Add Object
(Periode.Jahr von Datum/Zeit ef. Zustellzeit) This object already exists.

But in fact the object from the error-message does not exist in the
universe…

Adrian,

We have experienced the same error. Try Refresh Structure from the View
menu within Designer.

One way to check if this will work is to look at the table/column where
this object is supposed to be coming from. If there are multiple
occurrences of the same column, then Refresh Structure will get rid of your
duplicate columns.
