Could not access excel file

Hi,

I have .csv file and i am trying to use that as my source. I created file formats under excel and create the dir location ( local to server ) . The service is local

When i run the job i am getting the below error
6132 5236 -300875 6/22/2009 11:42:10 AM Could not access Excel file <//xyz/123_staging/Countries Master List/Metrics_2009032517_1.csv>

6132 5236 -300873 6/22/2009 11:42:10 AM OLE or COM processing error: .

Any clues to fix this?

I think you have mixed up Excel + CSV file format.
In your Error, it can been seen you are loading .csv fle, which needs to be defined in Flat File format not in Excel Workbook format.

Try saving that file, in .CSV format, and re-define it.
Try to navigate to the file in the file format itself, then you can use that path in variables.

Hi Guys,

          We are getting the following error

10036 3112 EXL-300873 5/6/2010 5:26:51 PM OLE or COM processing error: .

we are on version 12.1.1.0 and created a Excel Workbook format.

Can any one please tell me what is the fix.

Do we need any adapters to be installed for Excel files as source.

You have to configure Excel adapter if you are using an OS other than windows…

Thank you so much. Iam getting this error on windows only. I am doing everything as explained in reference guide but still getting this error.
