Copy values not possible in interactive mode?

Hello,
The more advanced users have webi view format set to interactive.
But now they can’t copy any values anymore from the report,
this is however possible from the HTML setting.

Any tips?

Need a more specific explanation of your issue.
Are you referring to the copy option of browser.
Elaborate.

when I open an instance of a report, i’m not able to right click on a field to copy the value of the field.
This is wehn the view format is set to interactive, when set to HTML it’s possible.
thanks,

If you’re talking about a webi document which when edited becomes interactive and you can do format or modify the report.
Then there is an option “copy as text” on right click of a column which allows to copy values and paste into a notepad or wordpad
Is that what you are after?

nope, I’m talking about view mode, not edit.
1 - you click on history of a webi report
2 - you click on any instance
3 - once the report is open you right click on a field. this will open a menu ‘set as section, insert, …’ all very nice, except I’m missing the copy button.

So I would like to be able, having the webi view format setting on interactive, to copy a certain value in a field to my clipboard. Without having to edit it, without having to change the view format setting to html.
I have XI R2 sp3, using IE 7.
thanks, M

This is indeed annoying! I don’t see any way around it, other than changing view preferences from Interactive to Web, but then you lose all the functionality of Interactive.

If anybody figures out a better workaround, would love to hear it.
