Controlled/private objects and webi

Hi,

Here’s the issue:

We had applied private/controlled/public restrictions to our universe earlier and granted permissions accordingly to user groups. Now we have reverted these restrictions and made all objects public and given public access to user groups. But the webi reports already built with the private/controlled objects are not getting refreshed and throw the WIS 10801 error (Your security level does not allow you to refresh this report). Most of these reports are custom SQL. Is there a way to refresh the universe for these reports? I tried to go to Properties>Universe and selected the universe there. Saved the report. But it still throws the same error. Any workaround apart from removing and adding the objects back on the report?

This is your problem, although based on a universe you have disassociated it by choosing to edit the SQL.
Thats why custom SQL, used in this way, has no real place in live BO environment.
One thing to try - I suspect that there will only be a manual solution for this, regenerating the SQL via the universe and then pasting your custom SQL back into the SQL panel.
