Universe Connection is working in UDT and when we test the connection it is showing as connection success and when we try the same connection in IDT it is showing as TNS couldn’t resolve the connect identifier specified. We are using BO 4.2 version. This error we are getting in Production Server

Are you running IDT/UDT on the server or local machine?
Are you creating both 32bit and 64bit connections?

We are extracting the universe from server and saving in local. when we click edit and test the connection it is working fine. But when we test the connection directly it is not working in IDT , but it is working in UDT connections directly

Hi,
In IDT there is a setting in preferences where you can configure whether a local middleware or a server middleware is used when using a secured connection. Check what you have configured there.

When I have checked the settings preferences it is server middleware only selected

I have changed to Local middleware from server middleware and tested the universe directly after extracting from the server. It is working fine.
