Connection Failed

Hi All,

BO 4.1 SP4 - Linux
Amazon Clound - EC2

I am facing a problem that I can´t connect to CMC repository with the CMC credentials. IDT can´t reach to CMC server.

PS: I was working in another server and it was ok, but in the new one, I can´t connect.

1 - I opened all ports in linux and Amazon security;
2 - I disable all firewall in my machine;
3 - I can open a CMC and Launchpad;
4 - I did a telnet and it is ok (Amazon does not allow ping).

See the error:
"Communication error occurred when trying to connect to server ec2-XX-XXX-X-XXX.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com:6400 (FWM 01009)

Detail:

Error:
Failed to log on host “ec2-XX-XXX-X-XXX.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com:6400”, user “Administrator”, Could not reach CMS ‘ec2-XX-XXX-X-XXX.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com:6400’. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)"

PS: The port and host are ok.

Does anyone has any idea?

Thank you very much.
Gustavo

I don´t know if it is make any diference but I have installed SAP BO 4.1 SP1 Client in my machine ans the server is SAP BO4.1 SP4.

I am installing the new version now and let you know the result.

Can do, servers and clients should be patched to the same level.

Actually, not only should they, the MUST be on the very same patch level. Otherwise you are in an unsupported configuration as far as I know.

I understand that we have to be at the same patch, but it works for BO XI3.1. Some functionalities could not work or not work well.

Anyway, it doens´t work with the same patch for server and client. I really don´t know what is happening.

I can telnet without a problem and access cmc and BI LP by browser without a problem too.

I am getting crazy !!! :smiley:

:hb:

By the way Andreas… Congrats !!! :oops: :roll_eyes:

Hi,

Did you resolve this issue as I have exactly the same problem wit BO full client trying to connect to BO box on AWS. No problem with firewalls and via BILaunchpad. All ports correctly assigned…

Any luck getting this resolved? I have the same issue.

I’ve opened all ports - can connect via browser - on 8080. Ports 6400 and 6410 are confirmed open. Still no luck via and SDK call or client tools.

Any more ideas here??? I also have the same effect/issue with BO XI 3.1. SP6 on Windows Server.
We moved the Servers (both application Server and database), I stopped everything (all Services) during Transition. on the new machine I created a new SIA (because Location of database Oracle 11.2.0.4 has changed) but have no Connection between application and BO. (Application is a JAVA 1.7 one with it’s own tomcat).
I have Trouble with the ports… 6400 is in “waiting-state”, 6410 seems not to be open. Do I really Need both ports open???
And is it only a Problem of SIA and ports or may there also be another Problem with the SIA in my case??? (wrongly created?)
Can someone help me?
