Connection Error in Universe

Hi,

I am getting the following error while opening the universe and the connection to the universe is looking good.

Can any one help me with this issue??

Error Description:

Exception: DBD, [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Executing SQL directly; no cursor.State: 01000

Could be a number of things.

What version of BO and SQL Server are you running?

Have you checked the Business Objects PAR (Product Availability Report) to see that BO supports the version of SQL?

Can you connect using these log in details using Management Studio?

What do you mean by this, does it test successfully?

Currently we are using BOXI3.1 and SQL Server 2005.I think both are compitable versions correct me if I am wrong.

Yep, supported, so thats that ruled out :).

Have you tried the other things I suggested?

Have you got any other universes that use this connection or that work in your environment?
Have you tried just inserting one table against this connection, in a new universe, to see whether that works?
Does it work on the BOXI server itself?
Check the compliance of your version of MDAC.
Also I’m presuming this is an OLEDB connection?
