connection CUID problem

Hi,
Here is the problem scenario i am facing:

  1. We have deleted a universe connection
  2. Someone recreated a new connection for the universe (this i assume will have a different CUID)
  3. When i run an adhoc report in that universe it doesnt open up and gives me an error “universe connection does not exist or you dont have access to it” (checked through the CMC to verify that i have access to the connection and the connection the universe is using exists)

Looks like a CUID problem. Can anyone help how to fix this?

I don’t think it’s a CUID problem because changing the connection does not change the CUID of the universe. Check the rights you have on that connection you need to have at least VOD on universe connection to be able to refresh reports off of that universe.

The connection didnt get changed. It was actually deleted and then a new connection created. Whenever that happens, a new conn will have a new CUID associated to it. The reports which look for the old connection therefore do not recognize this connections new CUID. Is there any way we can fix this?

Hey, Yes i did found a way to resolve this.
We usually save all previous BIAR files for Universes/Connections/Reports for version control. I grabbed the connection from a previous BIAR file and packaged it with the current universe biar component and then imported this in the environment.
Since this is an old version of the same connection therefore this has the same cuid.
