We are installing Business Objects r. 4.0 and trying to get the Live Office working, using Excel 2007. We get the Live Office menu bar showing ok in Excel, but when clicking on the “Universe query”, only the logon to Business Objects screen shows quickly and then disappears. (The settings in “options”, “enterprise” in Live office menu bar should be ok…)
Can anyone give a hint?

Are you at least on SP02 Patch 11 for SAP BI 4.0 server as well as for LiveOffice?

Sorry for late answer, the versions are:
BI 4.0 SP02, runs on unix (I see number 51041016, don’t know if it is relevant)
Live Office 4.0 Version 14.02.364

Go to Windoiws Control Panel, Add/Remove Software and see which patches for LiveOffice have been installed.
Remember, server and client tools must be on the same patch level! You should be at least on Patch 11 for SP02.
