I have BO - IDT Version: 4.1 Support Pack 2 installed in my PC. When I am trying to connect to Essbase cube present remotely, below is the error it’s throwing.
“The Essbase Client middleware is not installed”
I’ve Essbase client installed in my PC and ARBORPATH, ESSBASEPATH and PATH variables are set in Windows system environment variables in my PC (which is 64-bit desktop).
Welcome to B:bob:B!
I found it painful setting this up. Is this an error when you attempt to create a universe connection or is this you doing an initial test of the middleware install?
Couple of things is Essbase definitely supported with that version of BO? Also, drop in to a command prompt and try the startesscmd command from the bin folder. Then type login and your server and port…provide username and password…oh I used a 32 bit set of drivers not 64.
I am trying to create new OLAP connection in IDT.
In next window, it’s showing the list of middleware drivers available.
I have selected Hyperion Essbase 11x>>Essbase API for analysis.
I saw in SAP forum that IDT 4.1 supports Essbase connectivity.
I am able to connect to Essbase server using the Essbase client installed in my machine.
I have tried setting 32-bit and 64-bit paths in environment variables, still it is showing the same error (as given in the screenshot).
