Connect to SAP ECC using IBM's DB2 database

Hi guys,

I have a requirement that I need to connect to SAP ECC from IBM’s DB2 to get infotypes data into the DB2 database.So could you tell me how can I connect DB 2 to SAP ECC using JDBC?

Hi, I do not fully understand your question. You want to connect via BODS to SAP ECC and you want to load infotypes in to DB2?

BODS handles this in 2 steps:

  • Connectivity with SAP
  • Connectivity with DB2

Both are covered in the manual and the wiki:

No,I don’t want BODS to do that.I need a connection b/w SAP ECC and DB2 to read the tables.

I think we are talking different things here. Are you tallking about a SAP ECC system running on a DB2 database?

If so, you can ignore the DB2 part. BODS accesses SAP via the application layer and does not reach the database layer.
