Configuring SMTP on Windows Server 2003 R2

I am not sure how to configure the SMTP service on a Windows Server 2003 R2 so that I can configure SMTP for scheduling in BO XI R2.

In Windows Server 2003 I can configure SMTP by clicking on Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager -> local computer -> Default SMTP Server -> Properties.

However, in the CMC / Email (SMTP) Destination, I have to enter a “SMTP User Name” and a “SMTP Password”. Where in Windows Server 2003 can I create these 2 items?

Thanks!

Why would you want to create the SMTP server on the same machine as BO. Surely, there’s one present within the company’s infrastructure, or don’t employees mail each other?

In this case it’s required that the SMTP service is running on the BO server; it’s just a small BO environment. :expressionless:
