Conditinal Formatting in Cross Table?

Suppose we have a Cross Table

             Jon Jane Bobby
Goal Actual Goal Actual Goal Actual

Revenue 7 3 8 9 11 13
Expense

the conditional formatting is only working on the first one if we choose Red if the Actual < Goal and strangely the other two, Jane and Bobby are also Red when the are Actual > Goal.

I tried two conditional formatting, Red and Green but only the Red takes effect for all of them.

so how to differentiate between the Actuals with different Conditional Formatting Rules?

found solution, I was using a formula for the Goal, but made that a Measure variable and it works now.

Just a heads up.

I came across this once and there were gaps in the data (e.g. in a 5 by 5 matrix, not all 25 squares were populated). To fix this, I put =sum(1) in as the measure in each square then applied the conditional formatting to use the actual values too, as well as the conditional formatting.

You many not encounter this depending upon the data you are using, just a tip if you do.
