Hi,
While deploying reports using BIAR files from development to test environments, there are certain instances that changes are not getting reflected at the destination.
Has anyone faced these problems?
Moreover, is there any way that we can compare the same report in two different environments?
Please reply to this mail, anyone there.
Thanks in advance.

Which version of BO you are using?
What are the certain instances can you name any few?

BO XI 3.1 version is used here.
Certain instances mean when any changes are made to the report variables.
Even after log out and log in from InfoView, the problem persisted.
Could you please advise?

Are these report instances or the actual report objects themselves?
Your BIAR will only update the base report, not any instances already in existance on the destination system…

Hi,
Not report instances, the base reports itself.
Report variables are dependent on the reports right, and not on the instances.

Correct :).
When using the wizard are you overwriting the reports in the detination system, i.e. updating the destination?
Are you purging the reports before export, I would try that? It seems strange that this is hapenning, just “sometimes”.

Yes, we are over-writing the reports at the destination system.
And data purging is done for the reports.
Is it possible to compare the reports at the source and destination?

Never used it, but have a look at the report comparison tool, to see if it does what you are after…

It depends on the options you selected to import the objects.
I think Report comparison tool will use to compare the reports of different versions(Migration of the reports).
