Comparing Business Objects Universe with SSRS Report Model

Hi All,

We have recently started working with SSRS 2005(Reporting tool of SQL Server BI suite). Currently we are in evaluation phase for this tool. Earlier we are using Business Objects for all our reporting needs. I would like to know what are the differences between Business Objects Universe and SSRS Report Model as we are trying to build our universe in SSRS report model.

The main difference between to the two is that SSRS is not capable of producing dynamic queries bases on aggregate awareness.

Business objects universe has aggregate awareness and uses contexts so that you can merge two queries together if the universe is configured so.

There are some more subtle differences which the best way to test is to try some hands on prototyping.

The other thing is that the front end is very ugly in SSRS.
