Compare 2 universe

We have a base universe and a copied universe. We are making our changes on the copied universe and whenever there is a new version of the base universe we would like to run some kind of script to compare both universes. Does BO have some kind of tool to do this?

As far as I know there is no such BusObj tool (not at least up to version BO XIr2).

There are some 3rd party tools but you would need to purchase them. ONe of them is for instance Version Manager from ebiexperts:

Another option would be to use this utility for documenting BO universes:

I have been working on this myself, and have the code for comparing classes and objects working quite well. I have to go back and rewrite parts of it before it can be used to compare joins, hierarchies, contexts, and other universe structures, but it’s coming. I hope to have it done this year. Or next.
