Does anyone knows, how BO sets de order in wich the colums appear in a report. This order is different than in the querry panel; Except for Island resorts universe,… so I’ve probably done something wrong.
Business Objects uses the order of that you select the objects in the first time you generate the report. If you wish to change this afterward, you can drag and drop them into their new locations, or you can use the slice and dice. When the report is first created, it creates a report template that futher reports are built from.
If you ever remove objects and add new ones in, the new columns are added to the end of the report (on the right), if they are added at all. There is a difference in the behavior of the product depending on the version you are running on. BO 4.1.2 prompts you with a choice in how your repor gets changed.
That is also what I thought BO should do, but it doesn’t! The order is already different the first time I generate the report. First I thought it was because of using a self created template, but with the default template I have the same problem. I don’t think this happend when I first started to use BO, it is something that has come up the last weeks. Any clue?

Look into the SQL-tab in the query panel. If there are multiple SQLs generated, the order of objects clearly might be influenced…
