Column chart scaling for y axis as logartmatic

Hi Everybody,

I am working on a requirement for show the values like
sales office target sales actual sales behind the target
delhi 1000 700 300
Bombay 3000 2300 700
Noida 1000 0 1000
Gurgaon 1200 0 1200

I am showing the values in combo box sales office and in column chart
target sales and actual sales and behing the target.

when I am selection the value delhi bomaby it showing the correcponding value in column chart. But when I am selecting Noida and Gurgaon there is nothing showing on column chart.
this is due to I have taken the scale logarthmatic not linear. Could you please help me how I can show the values for that which line item has 0 in actual sales column.

The simplest solution is to just add a penny to each value in the “actual sales” column. If you set your format to only show whole dollars, it won’t make any noticeable difference.

Hi Lugh,

I could not understand your point, add a penny to each value in the actual sales Column. How I can addd penny .

Please elaborate the things.

If you can edit the query, just change the [Actual Sales] to be [Actual Sales] + 0.01

If not, have the data from the query placed in one set of cells. In the cells that feed the chart, use formulas to call the data from the first set of cells. But in the Actual Sales column, the formula would be something like $C$1 + 0.01 instead of just $C$1.

Hi Lugh,

The solution you gave is not worthy , adding penny is not working to the column chart. Value still not showing on chart.
