'Column/Cell Referencing' for Formulas

Does somebody know if we can reference columns/cells in a formula in a Business Objects Report. In other words is there an excel sort of a finctionality for referencing cells in BO.

The best way to reference absolute cells, is utilising Input and Output contexts … manually.

Read the BusinessObjects User Guide v5.0 manual on the above. I know … it’s a “read the manual” response, however Business Objects actually came up with some decent functional explanations in their v5.0 manuals.

For anything more specific, send me an example of what it is you’re trying to achieve, and I could probably help you out with a formula. Please feel free to send a BusObj document to “mrsbish@ozemail.com.au”. I’ve got plenty of experience in denormalising data at report level, which makes for multiple data providers and very complex formula.
