coloumn level security- Business security profile

my intention is to hide a particular column for a set of users. I tried to use column level security (Business security profile) in IDT.

a)create Query (tab)

1.Business Layer view
Master view - granted
2.Objects
All Objects - granted
3.Display Data (tab)

All objects - granted
1 particular column.
for eg: column ‘status’ denied

Error : your Security profile does not have the rights to refresh the data.

b)create Query(tab)

1.Business Layer view
Master view - granted
2.Created another view
with Admin role with
particular column ‘status’
un-selected.
3.Display Data (tab)

All Objects - granted

No error , However the column is displayed.

Could you please let where I am wrong.

Hi Anusha,

I am also facing the same issue… I need to hide a Class based on the region. I have created the business view layers and granted to the respective region groups.

Got the error of “you do not have sufficiant rights to refresh the query. Some objects are not available to your user profile. Contact your administrator to request the necessary rights. (IES 00002) (WIS 00000)” :hb: :hb: :hb:

Please let me know if you got some resolution.
