Our DBAs have been switching back and forth between primary and secondary SQL servers. Each time this happens, the CMS loses connection to the repository and does not reconnect by itself.
Is there a setting to keep attempting to reconnect? On our XI 3.1 test box it works fine, because it is set to try 5 times. I do not see that parameter anywhere in R2.

R2 didn’t have this ability.
Also, I’d be very careful putting the R2 repository on SQL 2008. Was it a supported database by that version?

The people we work for don’t really give us much choice as to software versions. Whatever they decide to use is what we use. BO XI is a stepchild to them.
I am considering migrating the CMS repository to a MySQL database on the local server to avoid hiccups that happen everytime someone tinkers with the SQL Server cluster.
