I have a user who is showing that they have Admin rights in certain groups. But they shouldn’t be.
But I can’t remove them, whenever I go through the CMC and click on the line and try to Remove it, it just blinks at me.
What’s up with this! I have been searching through to see if I can find out where the Admin right is coming from but to no avail.
Its times like these that I miss Supervisor and to hell with the CMC

Are you running Xir2 or Xi3.x?
Did you use the Administrator account to double check things?
Apart from what Sebastien already asked you, could you answer the following?
Do you mean to say that a user has ‘Full Control’ rights on one or more folders? Or maybe that he has ‘Full Control’ rights on another usergroup? Can you clarify?
Are you trying to delete the user from the ‘Manage Users’ section? Or do you select the ‘add/remove users’ button in the ‘rights’ tab for a usergroup or a folder?
If you dont feel confident using the CMC, then searching what your permissions are and finding out easier where they are coming from might be easier using the ‘Security Viewer’ tool, which you can download for free from the SAP website.

Let me know that a user is member of more than one group?Also you need to confirm whether the user in Admin group.
Security of the User Groups may differ. So, the same user may be differnt rights.

Simply put:
I have a user who is set up as an Area Admin. I tried to remove this from her profile. Still shows up.
I just found out that a colleague sitting right next to me checked it out for me and she says the Area Admin rights are gone. Still I am still seeing it no matter if I reboot my machine or have her try it!?!?
Also, when I run the Import Wizard I only see 1 user to be moved to my Production platform where in actuality there are 10 users all set up properly.
Again, checked with my colleague only this time she also sees that users are missing from her Import as well!?!?!?

Sorry, but it would help us if you would answer our questions and use terminology as it is used in the product. ‘Profiles’ in boxi have to do with publications for example. An ‘admin area’ doesnt mean anything to us. Please clarify clearly.
If you are seeing (1) different things in the (2) same pages of the CMC on (3) two different machines, (4) logged in as the same user and (5) connected to the same CMS - then you have a big issue. Is that really the case?
