I know that this is an old app; however, currently we have a need to ‘migrate’ our server, keeping same CE ver 10 - ie. changing Domain …
The ‘quickest’ way would be to clone the system, change the domain; however, there are settings that need to be changed that correspond to the new server name of the cloned VM…
Here’s what I can see:
- Change any references in the Crystal Config Manager (CCM) from old server name to new server name
- Change Registry settings (there are about 3 or 4 places that have a direct value with old server name reference (others are just location of the folders which i don’t think should be changed)
- Web Connector modificiation on the IIS new Web server (is there a compatibility issue if we use the latest instead of IIS3 or 4?)
- The Central Management Console database should remain the same as this is a clone correct? ie. nothing to change here?
Anything else that needs to be modified that i’m not aware of? Is what I suggested above even possible?
