Could you please tell me how classes and objects are represented in crytal report when creating report from universe in cystal reprot 2008. Will classes and objects be like columns ? as in case of database tables?

When you are creating report with the universe follow the ff steps
connect to the universe
create a query with the objects in the classes of the universe
with the query u can now create your report in crystal report.

use the database expect to connect to the universe
a query panel will come up similar to qaaws quary panel (here you will see a list of class and objects)
use this to create a query, depending on your spec
then move the greated query to the selected table in the database expect
use this to create your report
