Changing one tab report to another tab is taking lot of time

Hi,

I created a webintelligence report.
The report is showing data in 30 to 40 seconds.

But, when I change one tab report to another tab report, it is taking lot of time to show up the data.

Is there anyway, we can improve the performance?

Any suggestions please.

What is a lot of time?

Report display depends on a number of things concerned with Webi the report level engine:-

Amount of rows returned by query.
RAM on client.
Variables in report / ranking e.t.c…
Complexity of report structure
Number of linked data providers.
Report level Filters.
Number of Tabs.

As you can see you have given very little detail with regards to the difficulties you are facing…:).

What is the response time like when you use the server side Java, i.e. when you view the report thorugh the interactive panel?

What version of Java and IE / Firefox are you on, client side?

Does the report perform the same on other users machines?

Hi,

I am using Java - 1.4.2_04 (build 1.4.2_04-b05
and IE - 6.0

The repsonse time is 30 to 60 seconds when I view a report.

There are some tabs which are taking more time.

When I save the report with the tab which is creating performance problem, the report is taking more time (15 to 20 mins) when I view report.

And the report is performing the same way on other users machines.
