Recently we have had end users moved to NUL licensing and added them to the AD group for the NUL users. They are within the number of NUL’s in the CMC. However, now they are no longer able to run WEBI reports.
Is there any conflict with these two things? Does someone need administrative rights or something to run WEBI reports?
Changing licensing on you users does not have an impact as this.
My assumption is, that it is the change of group membership that has caused this, and your users most likely are missing the rights that the old group membership provided.
First I would try moving one user back to the original group. That will tell you if it’s an issue with group membership or the license. If it’s group membership then check Applications -> Web Intelligence. The new group will need to be given access.
If that’s not it, then is it possible that your NULs are for CR only?
Did the IMPORT of (existing) user names from a new AD group CREATE NEW USERS (new CUID), or just new aliasses for existing users ?
When you end up having an Enterprise user USERNAME, and an AD (LDAP) user USERNAME(1) , the LDAP login will be a totally new user, while the old rights are for the pre-existing one.
Which one has the “Named User” setting, which one the “Concurrent access” ?
The new user may very well have no rights at all, if he “only” exists in a group with “named users”.
